Two Ohio ventures receive competitive state funding with support from Entrepreneurs’ Center to accelerate commercialization and business growth.
DAYTON, OH, July 23, 2026 – Entrepreneurs’ Center (EC) clients Beacon and Lasoh have secured a combined $400,000 in grant funding through the Ohio Third Frontier Commission’s Technology Validation and Start-up Fund (TVSF). These competitively awarded grants support the development and commercialization of breakthrough technologies with the potential to transform industries and improve lives across the state and country.
“Innovation only creates impact when it reaches the marketplace,” said Scott Koorndyk, President of EC. “These awards help bridge the gap between breakthrough ideas and real-world solutions, giving founders the resources they need to validate their technology, attract investment, and build companies that strengthen Ohio’s innovation economy.”
Beacon has secured $200,000 to advance its referral technology, which helps humans help humans and turn connections into cash. Operating out of Cleveland, Beacon is scaling its platform, which helps businesses close deals faster while helping professionals find opportunities in the hidden job market.

Lasoh has secured $200,000 to expand its relationship marketing platform, helping vacation rental owners generate more direct bookings, increase revenue, and reduce reliance on third-party booking sites.
“Entrepreneurs’ Center was instrumental in Lasoh being awarded the TVSF grant,” said Orlie Benjamin, Founder & CEO of Lasoh. “Without their help, I don’t think we would have been successful.”
Lasoh and Beacon are engaged with Entrepreneurs’ Center, which supports a wide range of technology ventures by providing strategic guidance, commercialization support, and access to resources that accelerate growth and drive regional economic impact.
