Lunnie Awarded Patent for Innovative Leakproof Nursing Bra, Launches Upgraded 2.0 Bra

Posted by Leslie Klenke on September 5, 2024

Lunnie celebrates this historic milestone by releasing their 2.0 bra with even more leakproof coverage, extended sizes, and a lower price.

Dayton, OH – September 3, 2024 Lunnie, a trailblazing brand dedicated to improving the postpartum experience for modern mothers, is thrilled to announce that its founder, Sarah Kallile, alongside her mother, have been awarded a patent for the innovative Lunnie All-Day Leakproof Nursing Bra.

Sarah Kallile, a mother of three young daughters, created the design for a nursing bra with leakproof, sewn-in cups based on her own breastfeeding experience. Sarah’s mom helped sew the first Lunnie prototype that, after extensive testing by the Lunnie Hive mom community, became the patented Lunnie All-Day Leakproof Nursing Bra.

“Receiving this patent is a testament to our commitment to innovation and supporting new mothers,” said Kallile. “I’m grateful for the support of the Entrepreneurs’ Center in Dayton to obtain this patent.”

This achievement is especially notable as only 10.9% of all patents are granted to female inventors, according to the USPTO. Sarah and her mother, Sue Beresh, are both named inventors on utility patent No. US 12,022,891.

Following this patent announcement, Lunnie recently launched its updated All-Day Leakproof Nursing Bra 2.0 featuring more leakproof coverage, extended sizing S-XXXL, a new cream color, and a lower price. “I’m thrilled to expand our offerings and make our bras more accessible, thanks to feedback from our Lunnie Hive community,” says Kallile.

The Lunnie bra is available to purchase at www.lunnie.com. Gift cards are available too.
