Elliot Reed

Work Experience
Elliot has spent the past 18 years focused on the commercialization of medical technology. Prior to joining the Entrepreneurs’ Center, he served Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) in three roles over 8 years: Executive Director for the Institute for Innovation, Commercialization, and Economic Development; Entrepreneur in Residence; and as a Graduate Faculty member of the College of Graduate Studies.

Beyond his time at NEOMED, Elliot is a founding partner and principal of Techbank Medical, an early-stage medical device investment fund focused on cardiovascular devices. Additionally, he led two orthopedic-focused medical device companies as CEO for 9 years and served in the technology transfer office at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he supported the translation of more than 15 early-stage disruptive technologies.

During his career, Elliot has mentored and assisted in the launch of over 80 medical technology companies, which have gone on to raise in excess of $40M in funding and created more than 120 jobs in Northeast Ohio.

Elliot lives in North Ridgeville, Ohio, where he enjoys creating mischief with his wife Leigh and their dogs Fritz and Olive.

  • I really enjoy Thai food! While I don’t live in Dayton, I’m always looking for new places to explore. Nida Thai? Thai 9? White Lotus? I am looking forward to trying them all and reporting back.
