Karen Jackson

Karen Jackson, MPA, CNP, is a mission-centered leader and strategist, dedicated to helping individuals and organizations transform obstacles into growth opportunities. As the Capacity Building Manager for the Innovative Business Resource Opportunity Center (IBROC), she strengthens entrepreneurial ecosystems and empowers leaders to maximize their value and impact.

Karen is the Founder of Embrace Your Power, LLC, a personal branding and marketing firm, and 4 A Flourishing Life Network, a platform inspiring seasoned adults to thrive and flourish as they mature. A speaker, author, and host of Through My Lens, she equips others to repurpose setbacks into meaningful success.

Karen earned a Bachelor’s in Journalism from The Ohio State University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Wright State University. Karen has certifications in nonprofit leadership, Mental Health First Aid, and QPR suicide prevention, and has received numerous awards, including the Top 25 Women of Impact by the Better Business Bureau. The award-winning marketing expert is an inspirational speaker and author who enjoys reading, writing, dancing, scrapbooking, and leading a women’s bible study in her spare time.

What inspires you most about entrepreneurship?
  • I love the opportunity to imagine, innovate, and impact lives, communities, and future generations. My great, great grandfather was a slave but his owner gave him a horse and a buggy. He used that gift to create a legacy that has blessed and impacted my family for generations.
