Mark S. Shaker
Work Experience
Mark joined the Entrepreneur Center in 2018 as an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) in the Med-Tech Division. He has over 30 years of C-suite and healthcare management experience with Premier Health, including President and CEO of Miami Valley Hospital, President and CEO of Good Samaritan Hospital, and several system roles, driving innovation and operational excellence in ever-changing, regulatory, and competitive environments.
He began a healthcare management consulting firm in 2017 and most recently formed a partnership with several other med-tech executives from across the U.S., Factor 7 Medical, which serves funded start-ups as well as growth companies in the med-tech space. Mark’s expertise within the firm includes executive mentorship and coaching, strategy development, operational efficiency, and quality improvement initiatives.

- My family has several favorite restaurants throughout the Miami Valley: Table 33, Salar, Roost Modern Italian, Meadowlark, Wheat Penny and Sueño are the ones that top the list.
What do you enjoy most about being an EIR?
- My work as an EIR within the med-tech division has been tremendously rewarding as we work with founders to translate their vision into a viable company within the Dayton region. Solving business problems through innovation is what drives my personal involvement with these aspiring entrepreneurs.
