Markus Perry

At the Entrepreneurs’ Center, Markus serves as Entrepreneur Engagement & Program Manager, connecting founders to the resources they need to launch and grow successful ventures in the Dayton region. He focuses on delivering hands-on support and building programs that help entrepreneurs turn ideas into thriving businesses.

Markus brings a broad background that bridges frontline service and strategic leadership. Before joining EC, he managed projects in public health, civil engineering, and financial services; served as a Program Manager for the U.S. Army’s recruitment and outreach; and worked as a Firefighter and EMT within local public safety and hospital networks. On the global stage, Markus served as a delegate at the United Nations Environment Assembly through Model United Nations, engaging in diplomatic discussions on sustainability, biodiversity, and global environmental challenges.

Markus began his academic journey at Sinclair Community College, earning an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences. He later completed a B.S. in Organizational Leadership from Wright State University and is currently pursuing an MBA with a concentration in Information Technology at Western Governors University. He also holds certifications as a Project Manager, Agile Scrum Master, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

A lifelong Daytonian, Markus is passionate about strengthening the region’s innovation ecosystem. Outside of work, he enjoys kayaking, backpacking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
