Matt Farrell
Work Experience
In addition to being an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) for the Entrepreneurs’ Center, Matt Farrell is the Chief Operating Officer for Niobium Microsystems, a trusted microelectronics and silicon design company dedicated to delivering defense and commercial solutions. Farrell is also Founder and Principal at Farrell Management Group, a firm that is a value-added partner in helping clients solve their most complex problems and translating big visions into actionable strategies. He also served in senior executive and founding roles at Tangram Flex and Conduit Ventures.
Matt is a passionate entrepreneur with a drive to tackle big challenges. A versatile executive, he has spent time in nearly every functional area of business across some of the world’s most competitive and diverse industries. He thrives in bringing concepts to life and connecting people and ideas – evident by a portfolio of successful engagements, scale-up ventures, and board/advisory roles.
His specialties and areas of interest include strategic planning, optimizing business operations for scale, sales and marketing, and team building.
Matt lives in Dayton, Ohio.

What do you enjoy most about being an EIR?
- I have a passion for bringing concepts to life and connecting great people with awesome ideas — my role as an EIR allows me to do just that every day. Being surrounded by other passionate entrepreneurs and strategic leaders challenges me to grow alongside the executives and companies we support.
